the biggest mishap in life is to miss out on your present.

the biggest mishap in life is to miss out on your present.

to be precise: To Take your Present situation for granted.

THIS happens ALL the time. Most commonly, the poorer person looks upon the richer person and says: "lucky chum, and he doesn't even know how good he's got it!"    A common example of this is the kid who gets No $$ help from his parents and thus does not get to go to college, looking at the kids that get a free ride  via their parents money... some of those kids don't even need their own jobs - their parents got their backs as long as their in school. --------- See how in that example there are different gradients (kids with parents help: 1) with jobs, 2) w/out).

USUALLY, what happens is that PEOPLE need to EXPERIENCE it for themselves to get true Perspective. So lets take a look at the Caucasian Male American raised in an upper-class family. This person probably has very little TRUE perspective on normal life (ie. money concerns); even though he may be sympathetic to the poor and even donate or volunteer his time. This person might even TRY really really hard to learn & understand the hard truths of these peoples lives. But its nothing..... NOTHING like living it. Thats why many people need to experience it for themselves to understand. this jolts them with reality to give them a  more true perspective on life. So when this Male turns an adult, if he shuns his family money and goes out on his own to make a life for himself - that gives him a better perspective on the reality of life for most people living on this earth (um actually most people I think that means he would be traveling the world to live in squalor conditions)... AND taking it to the Extreme; if this Male's upper-class family LOSES all their money / something tragic happens that cripples them and they can never fully recover to the place they were before... then, and Only THEN will he truly understand how it is like. Of course he may have rich family or friends in high places ---- but really when one discards everything and starts out Tabula Rasa, then they are free to find the truth.

Thats what Siddhartha did.

There are moments where I think back to a certain past time and say; "Wow, too bad I didn't know how good I had it". With the new found knowledge that life experience & time gives, you look back unto your past situations and think of how lucky you were in a certain way, yet did not reap the benefits since you were unaware of it.

Always be Grateful for what you have. Be Open, Loving and Aware. This will allow for more AWEsome things to happen in your life!!!

$money $money $money

Saving your $ is Respecting yourSelf

I want to get back to my old financial lifestyle (sorta) where I had 3-4 grand expendible play money. Of course, that's when I was 16, saved $ from my first job for 6months & blew it all in one weekend to a music festival.

I want to be able to have that much $ again - but this time I won't spend it, I'll save it ;)

Invest it in ME in US in our LIFE

Every little thing that we do...

WoW. If we only had hindsight!!!

I am young - 24. (PS- to me, it feels like I've been here for a while now!)

And Boy Howdy have I learned a lot JUST FROM LIVING IN THE WORLD - not in a classroom with textbooks (insert college envy here). P.S. most cultures think you become "of age" (an adult) when u r 25 --- US colleges consider all 25yrs+ applicants Adults.

So technically, I am on the cusp of this thing called adulthood ;)

Good to finally make it official, since ppl have been telling me I'm an "old soul" since I was 8 or 10!

I have enormous gratitude for MYSELF - for my mental clarity, happiness & control. Because I feel like I have finally stripped away all the veils, to see humanity & life for what it truly is. To Understand, and thus feel comforted. (Even to understand that there is always a portion which will be misunderstood/unkown is a comfort - jamais vu)

I will touch more on this later ;) at least this time after I found out all the answers to life I won't be forgetting it all once I wake up

Alcohol Math - how people drink a Gallon

So I was doing some Math, just for the heck of it. I made friends with Mr. Gallon (Love learning tools with a face!).

Actually, I heard a TV show profile a person with alcohol addiction that was drinking up to a gallon a day. Which made me think -- wait, just how much is that guy drinking??!

Well, I thought back to my own drunken daze of PBR beer cans - theres the usual 12 ounces. Then you got your frosty 16 oz Pint glass served at a bar. You also have the 24oz cans that you go to the gas stations for.

I quickly realized that drinking 1 gallon of alcohol is a hell of a lot easier than I initially thought.

At least according to the typical college student / young persons standard. Lets do the math.

drink 5 normal (12oz) beer cans = 1/2 gallon. Drink 10 of these beers, you got your 1-Gallon! OR
Drink 8 of those frosty Pints (16oz) and you have 1-Gallon

Just 5 of those "Tall Boys" 24oz will get you to the 1-Gallon.

the WAR: more suicides than murders

I stumbled upon this website: www.designboom.com/weblog/cat/10/view/11233/sebastian-errazuriz-american-kills.html

I am *not* shocked. It makes SENSE to me; but nevertheless, it is VERY SAD.

i have too much to say; then when I look at the image, I lose all words. thats where I am at now: speechless.

Il bel far niente

Il bel far niente means “the beauty of doing nothing.”

\Yes, life would be better with daily mineral water and wine !

and yes, my mom was right about the film adaptation of Eat Love Pray --- they run thru it all too quickly.

How Car Insurance Companies Screw Good People Over

I do not like to spread around Negativity, but I am so disappointed with how we, the victims, have been treating by our Car Insurance (GEICO, who up 'till now had good customer service), and all the others included in this Car Accident Mess.

The reason we have insurance is so that when theres an accident, they fix the damages made to the CAR and the PEOPLE. In our case, both were damaged. (I have not had ONE, NOT 1, day without pain since the accident).

I guess thats what Lawyers are for, oh but not for the poor people (and the ones who take money afterwards, they only accept cases they think will bring in the big bucks).

We have been PUT THROUGH THE WRINGER on so many levels. Not only was I debilitated after the accident, but I had to politely argue my case to these jerks while in pain. They added SOO MUCH STRESS to my life (which makes my Whiplash worse!!), and I used up ALL my cell phone minutes just to try and take care of something that should be simple.

Fix the damages to me and my car. but no, they have to be completely horrible mean and inconsiderate.

I am so disappointed in this world and humanity and MOSTLY companies/businesses. They have PERFECT Customer Service UNTIL you actually NEED something from them, and then they don't want to give you a penny. Even though these companies are making millions of dollars.

Maybe they are used to dealing with other evil human beings who try to "take them for all their worth" by lying and cheating.

I am a good person, I was a victim and they are throwing me under the bus.

Thanks a lot Geico. and Enterprise. and Bill Luke Dodge.

Purify thyself

After I graduated highschool, I buzzed my hair as I started on my new path.

Five years later, I decided it was time to become more dedicated to my path. I didnt go half-ass on it like when I was 18. nope, I'm 23 now. I shaved it all the way down.

And you know what? I LOVE IT

As one Door Closes, another Opens

I attended my Group Fitness Module Training the last weekend of March 2010. It was for the world-wide renowned Medically based Les Mills fitness program BODYFLOW.

www.LesMills.com/Rcherie

I started team-teaching by Shadowing and then teaching a few songs here and there, then half the class, then the ENTIRE HOUR class. I videotaped and sent in my video for my final grade and passing certification in the mail. I have been since teaching the full class for some time now. Alas, the door that closed was Chambers Integrated Health in Glendale/Phoenix Arizona. it literally just closed a couple days ago. The economy has forced other business owners in the area to do the same (especially the others who shared our building). Our owners/Operators/Staff/Members put Everything into the development of our Second Home. And now it is gone. there will always be more gyms. There will never ever ever ever ever be another ChamBo Wellness Center. nobody could amount the high order of amazingness we served up there.

hopefully the next door that opens includes BODYFLOW since I love LOVE love it so.
